What is Innovation Camp?

Innovation Camp is a strategy sprint that brings together workshops, research, small-scale prototyping, and mini-brainstorms to help demystify emerging technologies and the cultural behaviors around them.

By calling B.S. on short-term hype and letting the room ask the ‘dumb’ questions about how stuff like AR/VR or metaverse gaming really works, we turn skepticism into curiosity and identify real opportunities for what we call moving from ‘white noise’ executions (that are easily forgotten) to helping brands claim ‘white space’ where they drive true value.

EDUCATION SESSION

Skepticism is fertile ground for growing curiosity

We began our journey with an education session about a topic that was burning on everyone’s minds: the metaverse. Instead of praising buzzwords, we leveraged the agency’s top skeptic (Rich Silverstein) to answer the questions everyone was afraid to ask.

The Innovation Camp Proposal

After education, we brought forward a proposal

Clients see great ideas all the time, but innovation ideas often die because they seem ungrounded or too ambitious. We built a simple framework for our proposal that relied on category knowledge and a real audience problem. It also focused on shifting perceptions on what GS&P could do.

KICKING OFF THE CAMP

Lunch-a-land lets kids build anything they want IRL and bring it to life virtually

The camp was a 5-week sprint that focused on unpacking two roads to bringing the ‘Lunch-a-land’ vision to life.

WORKING SESSION 1

At our midpoint, we shared the full research & audit findings

We helped our marketing clients understand a landscape outside their world, and provided deeper context to why we recommended something so bold.

WORKING SESSION 2

We got real on what it takes to succeed, and shared a final roadmap
