Simran Kaur holds a reputation for being an empathy-driven strategy leader. She has a track record of bringing together creative, strategy, and technology to help brands step into the spotlight. She is deeply passionate about accelerating DEI across the marketing and advertising industry.
She began her career in Canada as an art director before making the unconventional switch to strategy. In four short years at FCB, she leveraged her multidisciplinary lens to garner over 100 awards across the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, the One Show, the D&AD Awards, the Effies, the ADC Awards, LIA and more. She was named a Top 10 Canadian strategist two years in a row, and a Campaign US Female Frontier.
She then made the leap to the US to join the legendary Goodby, Silverstein & Partners and quickly took the helm by building the agency’s newest innovation offering: a strategy sprint designed to help brands chart their paths into emerging spaces. Today, she is brand strategy director for Frito-Lay Canada and director of Innovation Camp. Most recently, she was shortlisted for Campaign US’s Strategist of the Year.
Across everything she touches, Simran has a natural ability to steer with a deeply empathetic perspective. Often described as being a “magnetic speaker” and holding a “quiet wisdom,” she instills calm, builds trust and cements alignment around brave ideas. Her approach creates space for others to share their unfiltered points of view or the validation of the “we’d never do that” idea.
As described by Jeff Goodby, co-chairman of GS&P, “Simran is one of the most expansive advertising thinkers I’ve ever worked with. She not only helps GS&P do things that have never been done before; she understands why such creations are immensely powerful for our clients. Her route into strategic solutions is always unique, untrodden and engagingly fun. Her empathetic storytelling roams popular culture, current loves, current fears and the hopes that we all share. The contact high you feel when working with her is like therapy.”
